MDI Celebrates International Day of Dance on Thursday 29th April 2010
As part of Leap 2010, MDI would like to invite professional and community dance artists /groups to join us as we celebrate International Day of Dance, an event which takes place in Liverpool city centre on Thursday 29th April 2010
The event is chance for MDI to highlight dance created by individuals and groups from across the region to show their work.
We are particularly interested in dance styles from the cultures of people living in the region e.g. Traditional British folk dance, African, Arabic, Chinese, Polish, Indian, Latin-American and others.
To get involved please read the details below and let us know if you would like to take part in this event NO LATER THAN MONDAY 1ST MARCH 2010. MDI will confirm your participation shortly after this date.
The piece must not exceed 5 minutes. Some of these performances will take place outdoors.
Performance Date: Thursday 29th April 210
Time: tbc with artists/groups (but will be between 12-2 or 5-7pm)
Venue: Liverpool City Centre (various sites)
Theme: Innovation, Health and Wellbeing
If you accept this invitation we will need the following information from you:
- Name of the group
- Name of the piece
- Description of the piece
- Short description of the group
- Number of dancers in the piece
- Length of piece
- Copy of music (if successful)
